Yes, we fully comply to the General Data Protection Regulation.
We do not set cookies or use other techniques and also do not track visitors.
We only store anonymous search information about keywords searched and that kind of things.  We use local session storage to identify visitors for the current search session only.

At this moment we are not hard limiting any of the subscription plans' limits. We'll get in touch first if we think the fair-use principle is being exceeded.

The subscription can be terminated with one month's notice. For yearly paid subscriptions you need to inform us within this period.

Page index limits

Every page or document that is crawled and indexed is count towards the page limit. If the page is crawled but ignored based on the set of rules you apply to the results it is not counted towards the page limit. 

Search request limits

Every single API request is counted towards the request limit. At this moment we use the fair use principle. If we see that a single subscription is doing extensive API requests for a longer time then is permitted by the plan's limit we will reach out the the subscriptions owner. 

After you register for a trial or signup for a standard or premium subscription you will get a login to our Searchine Portal.
There you will find the possibility to add a search configuration. Every search configuration can contain its own settings and can be added to your website in multiple ways:

1. Embedded widget with just a view lines of code.
2. Custom search with possibility to change rendering templates.
3. Search bar with instant search suggestions.

The easiest integration by using the embedded widget will render a iframe on your page so you can't use your own stylesheet. By specifying color's you can alter the visibility.

For more advanced integration you can override the rendering templates and also have your own CSS Stylesheets.

For the easiest integration you don't need to have a lot of javascript knowledge. 
If you need to have your own HTML markup or CSS Stylesheet than more knowledge is desirable.

We don't have a server side API for public purpose at the moment. We can change the current used API at any time without further notice and don't suggest you use the API without using our javascript widgets.

At this moment we support:

2. dutch

It does not mean your language won't work. Don't hesitate to contact us with your request.

Searchine uses self made spider technology to crawl your site and analyse the documents structure and text.
We will take notice of hyperlinks to other pages / documents and follow those as well.
The crawler will take notice of noindex and nofollow requests as it will process robots / XML sitemaps and behave just like any other crawler.

It all starts with providing each content page with relevant and unique content and adding a page title and meta descriptions with the most important keywords.

Also make sure that duplicate pages have a canonical link tag so we can eliminate posslbe duplicate search results.

The most effective way to prevent a page from being indexed is to have a noindex meta tag on the requested page.

By using "noindex, follow" any link on the page will be followed. 

Another way is to have the page excluded in robots.txt

In the near future you can remove pages from the management portal. 
For now the most effective way is to have a noindex meta tag in your page.

That will depend on the subscription. 
We will take notice of the changefrequency property in sitemaps to determine content pages that change frequently and index those more often. 

Yes we will take notice of the robots.txt file and crawl any sitemap mentioned in the file.

Yes, we suggest using canonical URL's to prevent duplicate search results.

At this moment we don't support files. This is on our future roadmap.

At this moment we don't have support for full ajax sites.

At this moment we don't have an option for this. The best alternative is to use a shared email address so you can still receive (automatic) email messages from Searchine.

We are working out a solution for this. For the meantime please use a shared email address.

Do you need to change your billing address 

When you are logged into our Searchine Portal you can see a dashboard.

• Click on Your details
• Click on the pencil near "Billing Address: Unknown"

Change your billing method ?

At this moment we don't have a fully integrated billing system in place. Please contact us using the contact form

Please fill out the contact form with the following details

• Your current email address you use to login to our searchine portal;
• Your current subscriptions name;
• The e-mail address you would like to use;
• Reason for the change;

Please contact us for any questions about the payment of invoices.

In the near future you can have multiple subscriptions per login or even better have subscriptions shared with other persons as well.
In the meantime the best solution is to use a seperate email address per subscription.
